Walking in Murcia
There are many beautiful areas in Murcia and locally we have El Canar a bird Sanctuary and valley surrounded by mountains with caves, sometimes when I look up I can see the tiny figures of goats looking down at me as they balance on the precipice. Real cowboy and indian ground here, you would almost expect to see Clint East wood riding along.

You can walk all the way to the tiny coastal fishing village of LaAzoia a good half days walk there and back. These pictures were taken in January, stunning views with spring flowers in bloom everywhere.

There is also some lovely places to stroll in and around our village, La Magdalena.
With the almond trees in blossom and surrounded by the orange and lemon groves you can walk through many of the typical Spanish villages and enjoy the peace and the ambience.

Walking in Murcia is good all year round, although July and August are very hot, Springtime is prettiest and most enjoyable.
There is also the Sierra Espuna for the more adventurous check out
