August/September 2010
Hello Everyone,
It has been a very hot one here in Spain and I for one am glad it´s cooling down a bit! Still warm enough for the pool though. And a good job as new guests are arriving as I speak.
My Nephew Joshua did a beautiful wall painting in the studio. He is off to Art school in september.
Life seems to be always about change for me. Having spent a few weeks at the end of July and beginning of August in the UK with Dan, I once again return to Spain with a new perspective and another challenge. Apart from visiting Family and friends it was my yearly check-up at The Royal Marsden. I was pleased that everything is still OK as far as the breast cancer is concerned but a little disappointed to discover my bone density had taken a dive into full blown Osteoporosis. This unfortunatley as a result of the treatment and early menopause. I have researched my treatment options and I will be setting up a specialist page to help others improve or protect bone health. learning about all the new research has been a real eye opener and I am so glad I have done this.
Another result of this is my new programme Back&Bones4good. this class/course will be starting in September and it will be included in some of our residential courses. The course is for anyone who wants to make reserves for their bones against the natural process of menopause which results in bone density loss speeding up. Or for anyone wanting to gain strength in the back and bones, improve balance and posture and general well being, plus it will be completely safe for anyone with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia.
